Batman Forever tells the story of Batman's battle against TwoFace, who believes Batman is the reason he is disfigured, and The Ridder, a disgruntled ex-employee of Bruce Wayne's company. Batman has help from Chase Meridian, a psychologist who is studying the criminals, and Robin, who becomes Batman's side-kick Robin.

[2] Rene Russo was originally cast to play Chase Meridian when Michael Keaton was still attached to play Batman. But when Michael Keaton dropped out Rene Russo was deemed to old to play his love interest and was replaced by Nicole.
[3] The character Dr. Chase Meridian was given her first name as a pun, since she spends most of the film chasing after Batman.
[4] Chase remarks about "Or do I need skin tight vinyl and a whip" - an obvious reference to the film's prequel's (Batman Returns (1992)) character "Catwoman".
