"The music video for Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman’s upcoming Christmas single Somethin’ Stupid finds the two stripped down to their bare essentials - and nearly £7 million worth of jewels. The glamorous 1950’s-themed promo, filmed on a closed set in a West London studio last weekend, stars Nicole in a lace and sequin Collette Dinnigan evening dress. However, one scene features the Moulin Rouge actress decked out in nothing but a £5.5 million necklace made of yellow and pink diamonds and a £1.2 million heart-shaped diamond-encrusted evening bag by Mouawad." [1] Somethin' Stupid was a #1 hit for Frank and Nancy Sinatra back in 1967
[2] Robbie and Nicole have never performed this song live together. She was supposed to join him in his Royal Albert Hall concert in October 2001, but she was too nervous to perform it live!
[3] Needless to say, the papers went into overdrive, reporting that Nicole and Robbie were an item. He was spotted leaving her Dorchester Hotel at 3am on a Friday morning. Nicole denied this, saying they are "just good friends".
[4] The single was the 30th best selling single of 2001- pretty good for a song which was only released 3 weeks before the end of the year!
[5] The pink and white diamond heart-shaped purse presented to Nicole by Robbie in the video was made by renowned jeweller Mouawad.
